New baby cakes, ice cream with my boyo, kitten features, new fringe, Baby Max, Sunny morning post nightshift

Quite a short photo post this week, I think I’ve had 1 night off, but I’d spent the day in uni. I start a new placement tomorrow, which is good and bad. Good because I’ll be awake in daylight hours, bad because frankly I cannot be assed!

Welcome to baby Max, my gorgeous new baby cousin!

Dress: Aldara from Miss Guided

Leather Jacket: Matalan

Cardigan: Primark

Brouges: Bronx Herald*

Brooch: Etsy

Red Shoes: Irregular Choice*

I LOVE the colour of this dress from Miss Guided, its proper parma violet colour. I sold my red one of the dress and bought this instead my red one was too big for me so its nice to be able to sell it and swap it round.

These are pretty much the only outfits I wear at the moment, life it revolving around this dress as its so easy to throw on and goes with almost everything!

What do you think?

I'm sorry but the blog is probably about to turn into a “try every hair care product that claims it might make my hair grow faster” type blog. Basically, I am one of those people who are duped into buying products because they feel that ashamed that they ever cut of their hair in the first place!

First up is the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, I love this product, I first saw it on Lily’s blog and bought it almost instantly, now its not cheap, but I can honestly say I’ve noticed such a difference in my hair since using it, its not necessarily grown, but it feels so much stronger and healthier. Result I’d say.

I’ll definitely be rebuying this product, its on the coming soon area in buyapowa so I think I’ll wait and hit it up on that!

Have you got any must have tips for me growing my hair? Do you feel my pain? Michael has started taking the piss a bit and telling me how long my hair looks every time I walk in a room, because I ask him so often whether my hair looks like its grown…

When I was invited* to have lunch at The Bonham and to visit The Chamomile Sanctuary Spa in Edinburgh as part of the Champaign pamper package, I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.

The Chamomile Sanctuary is tucked away in the heart of the west end, in an unassuming building, it would be so easy to just walk straight by. It was myself and my wee bestest Gale that went along, I treated her since she’s 5 months pregnant and its always super fun to do special things! Because she was pregnant she opted to get the manicure whilst I got an amazing massage. I need to tell you about this massage. I have a bad back. I have a nurses back at 22 and usually find it really sore to lie on my back Fiona (Im sure that was her name, I forgot to write it down) has honestly changed me! I can lie on my back and I’m no where near as creaky and ouchy.

Gale had her nails done in the area above and look how snazzy they were, and her hands were really really soft!IMAG0358

After our treatments, as part of the package we were whisked round to the The Bonham another hidden gem where we were treated to a 3 course meal. This boutique hotel is as every bit gorgeous inside, it looks over the dean village and dean bridge for those of you who know Edinburgh. Now, I have a secret to let you in on, people say Im a really fussy eater, I don’t think I am, I can’t eat much dairy or fish but that rules out quite a lot when your eating out!

We arrived and had drinks in the new bar The Consulting Room and had a look at the market menu, which changes everyday. At first I was filled with dread and then I couldn't wait to tuck in. We had exactly the same meal each so i can’t tell you much other than, we started with Cauliflower soup, which I'm not usually a big fan of, but was surprisingly delicious and a massive bowl, we couldn’t actually finish it knowing we had to more courses to come! Next up was duck, which ask my friends I usually screw my nose up at, but I am a convert! It was truly scrumptious especially with the red cabbage. For dessert we were treated to iced nougat, which as a chocolate lover was something a bit different for me!

We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, in gorgeous surroundings and were very well looked after. The market menu is £22.50 for a 3 course meal and I’d say its worth every penny especially if you treating someone, for example Mummy this mothers day!

So its coming up that time of year again ladies, this coming Sunday is Mothers Day.

Find me a gift asked if I would collaborate with them in a post celebrating our Mummies as they have some lovely mothers day gifts.

My Mum is smashing. I could stop the post there because thats all you really need to know, but well, that would be a bit boring.

For me, Mum is the one I phone when I'm worried about something, or she phones me before I get a chance to, she’s got a sixth sense like that, she’s the one I go to when I don’t feel well, Mike has spent many a night with me wailing “but I just want my Mummmmmmmmm”. My Mum is where I get my workaholicness from, so much so that we don’t see each other as much as we should although living 2 miles apart. She is one of the most organised people I know, which I think has rubbed off on me.. you should see us going camping, Mr Weasley hasn’t got a thing on us.

So lets just take a moment, NOT on Mothers day to appreciate our yummy Mummies, who are there for us all the 364 other days of the year!

Bioderma Crealine H20

So this is the stuff that you’ll hear every MUA raving about. I have been desperate to try it for ages, at roughly £14 a bottle including P+P its not thought to be the cheapest but actually ml for ml with high street and definitely high end brands, its cheaper, your just buying a bigger bottle.

Its safe to say I love this product, and it seems my skin does too, I’ve waited off doing a post on it to make sure I didn't break out, I’ve been using it in the evenings and my Sk:n centre cleanser in the morning my skin is probably the best its ever been, this is most likely due to me actually taking my make up off at night, which of course, always helps!

The first thing to mention about this product is that it easily tears through my make up in just one wipe, meaning I never have to rub or even go over where I’ve done. The second thing, which is probably why I like it so much, is that its so refreshing to use, I never use water on my skin but this is just like a water, doesn’t leave a film or grease.  I’ve linked to where I got it on eBay, I’ll definetly be rebuying this product!

Vivo Baked Bronze

I’ve been hearing the good things about Vivo cosmetics for some time now, and had a deek at them in Tesco a couple of times but never bought anything. My loverrrr Lucy sent me this in a package of a few other bits and bobs and I am sold!

Its basically a really good dupe for MAC’s MSF’s probably in dark. I could do with a lighter one but you know, orange face orange heart, its all good.  It has really good pigmentation, not too much shimmer that you look sparkly but enough to give you a highlight and great staying power.I'm unsure what this retails at but I’m sure its around £5, about a 3rd of its MAC sister.

One day when I don’t look like I need to sleep for 1000 years I’ll do a FOTD with it!

Dress: Oasis

Cardigans: Both Primark

Black Shoes: Primark

Nude and Glitter heels: Topshop

Brogues: Bronx Herald

I thought I’d do a few of these posts, there might be more to come in the future but I only have a couple written at the moment. I love that by changing one or two things in your outfit, it instantly becomes wearable in so many situations. I try not buy dresses that are just “going out dresses” because of this, although it sometimes means I am so overdressed for shopping or slubbing around the house!
