So, jeans are like my antichrist. They are the thing that looks a million times better on everyone else in the universe than they do on me. Is 2012 the year that I should start wearing jeans again? It would be very easy to be able to pull on jeans and a pretty top in the morning rather than deliberating which dress goes with the season (in January in Scotland, none!)

I have looked everywhere for jeans that would suit my shape, you name it I’ve probably tried them on, however I only really like skinny jeans and as the saying goes skinny jeans are not called “make you skinny jeans”.

When I was approached to look at ladies jeans from Marisota I still didn't think I was going to find anything worth my time, however as the site caters for sizes 12 and up, I wondered if some of the styles might be a winner. I think Im going to order these jeans and try them out, I think the high waist will make all the difference, something I still cannot find in any of the high street shops.

Where do you buy your jeans? Are you part of he anti jean brigade like me? I’ll obviously be showing you when my jeans arrive, although only if I look good in them!

I buy my jeans whenever I'm in Spain, they shape theirs for girls with curvy hips but small waists and legs, sucks that I have to go that far just to find a pair that I don't ooze over the top lol

I was completely anti jean until I found some that worked for me. If you like the skinny styles but they don't work for you, check out straight leg jeans. My faves are the Topshop Martha Jeans. Muchos good luck in trying and testing.

  5. I got some awesome Premium Super Skinny jeans from Gap but I wore a hole in the crotch area, and I don't think they sell them anymore :( Hollister jeans are supposed to be good! :)

  6. I've only recently started wearing jeans again! I love skinny jeans but I also have some 'skinny flares' from Dorothy Perkins and some straight legged jeans from New Look that I really like. I just have problems choosing which shoes go with them! xx

  7. I used to live in jeans until I was about 16/17 then stopped wearing them completely because I couldn't find any that I liked and that suited me. But I've recently started wearing them again since I bought a pair of the Kristen ones from Topshop. They are amazing! They're high waisted and skinny which is exactly what I was looking for.

ERRR I too have jean-obia! I just do not find them comfortable, maybe it's because i havent worn them for so long now (7 years). I actually now have to wear trousers for work and it felt really weird at first! I just find jeans do not flatter my tum! xxxx

  19. I have a similar figure to you and I feel a little conscious in jeans.. although I do wear them, but tend to go for either black or very dark denim. I have to wear skinny jeans as well (which again, isn't doing the ol' thunder thighs any justice!) but I try and disguise it with either heels or boyfriend cardys that cover my bum and majority of my thighs! I shop in Dorothy Perkins cos I'm a short arse and they fit me perfectly! :) x

I completely get what you mean! I find Next jeans quite good...I have to buy mine in the petite section but they come up quite high! Dorothy Perkins also do some nice ones, as do Topshop - the Kristen ones are good! I think the higher waist the better as they keep me nicely pulled in and look lovely with a looser top :-) I'd love to know what your Marisota jeans are like! xx

I swear by jeans by Oasis! A bit pricey but peerfect for my figure - I have the short legs-big bum & thighs problem! I've got high waisted jeans from Oasis both in black and blue and I live in them now! So flattering!

  25. I was gutted when I couldn't find them on the website! But I did buy the jeans from a Gap outlet store so I might have to check there to see if they still sell them, and hopefully they might be cheaper! :)

  26. I HATE jeans - but I do find that high waisted ones are the best. I've got the Kristen style from Topshop and they're the only jeans I really like. Recently bought the 'Leigh' ones from topshop which I like on my legs but they did that whole go all baggy at the waist and hips and fall down every two seconds thing after a couple of times wearing them so, having now learnt my lesson, I will stick to kristen and her high waist ;) Can't wait to hear how you find these - I definitely want to try and find my 'ultimate' jean, if such a thing even exists...
